Vita Community Living Services is a not for profit charitable organization funded primarily by the Province of Ontario to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities. In 2005, Mens Sana Families for Mental Health joined Vita. Today, both organizations, though remaining separate corporations, are managed and governed by a common organizational structure and policies. Each organization has a separate Board of Directors, although the membership is the same on both boards. The two organizations are referred to as “VITA”. The organization provides residential, crisis, respite and day services to adults with developmental disabilities and mental health issues. VITA employs over 400 full-time, part-time and relief staff and has an operating budget exceeding $20 million. Our employees are what set us apart.
